Đã gần 5 tháng kể từ ngày anh Nguyễn Quốc Phi bị cảnh sát Đài Loan bắn 9 phát súng dẫn đến tử vong vào ngày 31/8/2017. Tuy nhiên, sự thật vẫn chưa được tiết lộ và làm sáng tỏ.

Cha của anh Phi, ông Nguyễn Quốc Đông, một lần nữa trở lại Đài Loan để yêu cầu chính phủ Đài Loan làm rõ vụ việc và chịu trách nhiệm cho những sự việc đã xảy ra. Lần trở lại này là để ông Quốc Đông tham gia vào phiên tòa đầu tiên để xét xử vụ án này.

Phiên tòa sẽ diễn ra lúc 16 giờ 30 phút chiều ngày 18/1/2018 tại Viện Kiểm Soát Tân Trúc (新竹縣竹北市興隆路二段161號).

Đặc biệt, trước khi phiên tòa diễn ra 30 phút, sẽ có một buổi họp báo được tổ chức bởi gia đình nạn nhân, TIWA, và các nhà báo địa phương.
